Book Review: The Richest Man In Babylon

Kids in high school should be mature enough writers to produce book reviews instead of filling out book reports. I think of a book report as a form grade school kids fill out. Teachers use book reports to verify that the child has indeed read the book. Book reviews, on the other hand, can be useful in helping you determine if you should read a book or not. So, here’s how to write a book review.

8). Keep reading. Read resources such as Publishers Weekly, Literary Market Place, New York Times book review, Time, Newsweek, Writers Digest or the the lost ways survival book in your local newspaper.

I haven’t read many YA novels since I was a teenager myself, so I may not be the best judge on what makes a good YA novel. If you’re a fan of YA novels, you’ll probably love this series. If not, though, you may find it a bit disappointing, like I did. If you read the first book, Twilight, and enjoyed it, it would be worth your while to continue on to New Moon.

Even the chapter titles will make you chuckle. One of my faves is: Your Puny Worm God Weapons are Useless Against My Superior Christmas Kung Fu. Instead of a 13th Chapter, he puts in a scrapbook of pictures for good luck.

Sometimes when it comes to investing, we try to be sophisticated. There is a time for sophistication. But most investing, particularly when you are just starting to build wealth should be kept as simple as possible.

I first fell in love with Moore’s sarcastic humor with Practical Demonkeeping, and then I read a few reviews here about Lamb and just had to grab that and did of course love it, which led to picking up Bloodsucking Fiends and well… alright already! I’m addicted!

When you refer people to me or a journalist or producer make sure they have read my/their query. One person sent in a story in that had lots of graphic sexual violence against women stuff in it when my query was focused on how martial arts influenced leadership and business skills. It was disturbing to read. Answer only what is asked of you. Quickly at that. And don’t send icky un-requested stuff. It’s kind of like being stalk.ed in print.

Familiar flavors cause weight gain says Roberts, and that is the basic premise of The Shangri-La Diet. Consume up to 400 calories daily of sugar water (no flavor) and stay away from familiar flavors (favorite flavors?) is basically The Shangri-La Diet. I do agree that switching up what you eat would help break bad eating habits (especially fast food–get a taste in your mouth for a burger or taco and what happens? You head for the border). This is an interesting concept and The Shangri-La Diet is a book worth reading.
